As we gear up for the 2nd Annual Live Wedding Experience + Open House at 7F Lodge, we wanted to look back at this fabulous 7F wedding from last fall! We are always excited to be part of wedding days but when you can literally feel the love in the room, there is something special about that wedding that we always remember. Kaitlyn+Michael's ceremony is one that I will never forget - so personal and moving - I know their love is a true gift. I cried at the ceremony, the dances, the speeches... it was all so special and I am truly thankful to have been part of it. With a slew of fantastic vendors, their wedding vision came to life beautifully and you can see all the personal touches and incredible attention to detail. We hope their design will inspire you and hope you enjoy the fun photos that follow!

We recently designed, styled and planned a beautiful winter shoot at the new Gin at Hidalgo Falls with a team of incredibly talented wedding pros! Shannon with Century Tree Productions wanted to do a shoot centered around Junipers so I was able to take that idea and run with it! We thought it would be interesting to create a very light and minimal tablescape mixed with a dark and moody one all in the same space and see what would happen. The play on simplistic paired with a heavy design was delightful! You'll see the hints of Juniper in the invitation design, on the tables and even in the bride's floral crown. We wanted to infuse the Juniper but not overdo it.... We decided to host the shoot at the "new" Gin that is filled with rich Texas history. The industrial building has been revived into a beautiful space to celebrate and it was a perfect backdrop for the winter shoot. The shoot helped show prospective couples that this space works beautifully for light + airy as well as dark + warm designs and that you can even mix both!
Back in August, we had the most AMAZING DAY celebrating with Jessy+Logan. The perfect couple, the perfect venue and even for a brief moment, the temperature dropped to the 80s so that we could have a "cool" summer ceremony! It was as if the Heavens were blessing this marriage {I have no doubt about it!}. Watching these two, you can see how they love one another and how they love the Lord. It shows in the way the speak to others and to each other, the way they enjoy FULLY all of what life has to offer and you can see love in their smile - Jessy's smile is absolutely contagious! It was an absolute privilege to coordinate their wedding day and was most certainly one of my highlights of 2018!
According to Martha Stewart Weddings, our most recent styled shoot incorporated four of 15 "New Wedding Trends to Watch for in 2019!" I always knew we were one with the trends but confirmation from industry insiders is always nice! Our wintery styled shoot at The Gin at Hidalgo Falls brought the following "trends" that Martha says to keep an eye out for more of in 2019: -Dark+Edgy Color Palettes; - Velvet {in our case velour!}; -Custom Illustrations; and -Minimalism! There's so much more to bring you from this shoot but for now, here's what's #trending! We would love to incorporate these and other fabulous looks into your wedding for 2019!
