Many of you have had to make the sacrifice of your wedding date to help ensure the safety of your loved ones during this unprecedented time. We know this isn't easy for anyone so we wanted to offer a few helpful tips on how to proceed with Postponement Planning. The video goes over these points in greater detail but the planning points are listed below:
1. Prepare - Don't Panic! Allow time to process the situation and think about the new plan going forward. 2. Discuss the new date options with your venue and with all booked vendors - keeping the exact same vendor team will save money and be the easiest route. If original vendors are unavailable, begin the search for replacement vendors. 3. Create or update the wedding website with the new date + details and direct your guests there for more information. This will take pressure off of you to answer loads of questions during this time. 4. Identify how you will notify guests - via email, text, phone call, change the date cards - and allow immediate family + wedding party to help spread the word about the new date and to instruct guest to the wedding website for more info! 5. If invitations have already been sent or printed, you can simply send "change the date" cards {Peach Paper & Design is offering 20% off change the date cards with FREE addressing} to notify guests of the new date and a link to your wedding website. 6. Review your Wedding Planning Checklist and ensure all final planning toward the new date has been done. 7. If there is still some planning to be done, this is a really great chance to work on final details, get adjusted arrangements made for the new date and finalize day-of-details. 8. Celebrate on your original wedding day! Plan an amazing "night in" with takeout from your favorite local spot or a home cooked meal followed by a spin around the kitchen to your first dance song! Look toward the upcoming celebration with your loved ones and get excited about your new wedding date! Above all, realize that we are all going through this together. The entire world is making life adjustments and we encourage you to work alongside the team you have hired for your wedding and trust they will do all that they can to help you through this process. We support you, we love you and we can't wait to celebrate with you! //Amy + The ATP Team
