Why should I hire a wedding consultant? For many couples, it is their very first time planning a wedding. It becomes overwhelming figuring out where to begin, how much everything costs and how to choose vendors. Planning a wedding is about much more than choosing your colors, flowers and menu. There are logistical matters to attend to such as the timing of events, parking situations and knowing which vendors are reputable and fit within your budget. Wedding consultants {also known as wedding planners + wedding coordinators} are there to guide you and to take care of all of these concerns. We are able to help save you time and money as well as your sanity so that you and your families can actually enjoy your wedding day!
When is the best time to hire a wedding consultant? Anytime is the best time! The day after you've become engaged, when you begin making wedding plans, when you're feeling overwhelmed, when you're running out of time... Since our Full Wedding Planning + Partial Wedding Planning Collections include unlimited contact, it's best to hire us early in the planning stages so you can get the most of your experience with us!
Do I need full-service planning, partial planning or just coordination? That depends! Do you feel like you can handle the planning details on your own and just need someone to help guide you along the way and pull everything together the last few weeks before the wedding? Or do you need someone to be there with you from beginning to end to plan your wedding? It all comes down to what you think you can handle, what your budget will allow and how comfortable you are with wedding planning tasks.

Do you offer any other services such as linen rentals, floral design, stationery creation? Nope! We have great relationships with many fabulous vendors in our area who are specialist at what they do. We are specialists in wedding + event planning; it's what we know and what we do best! We like to focus all of our efforts into the planning and coordinating of fantastic weddings + events!
Do you accept commissions or kickbacks from any vendors? We do not accept any commissions or kickbacks from vendors and will only refer qualified, reputable vendors who will best suit your needs, style and budget.
Do you charge for an initial consultation? Our initial consultations are complimentary. This is a chance for us to get to know each other to see if we’re a good fit to work together.
Do you charge an hourly rate, a flat rate or a percentage of my overall wedding budget? What is the retainer to secure your services? Can I pay with a debit or credit card? We charge a flat rate for wedding planning services but often customize a collection of services to fit the specific needs of the client. We can also set consultations only at an hourly rate. In most cases, a retainer of half the total is required to secure our services with the remainder due the first of the month of wedding month wedding date. We do accept debit and credit cards with a 3% service fee applied.
What size weddings have you planned and coordinated in the past? Our very first wedding had 750 guests {crazy, right?!} and our smallest had less than 100. Our average wedding has 150-200 guests.
How much communication will we have for wedding planning? Both of our planning service collections include unlimited contact via email and phone. We respond to all emails and phone messages within 24 business hours but usually within just a few hours. We realize that this is your wedding day and it's kind of a big deal!
How many coordinators + assistants will you have on my wedding day? The lead wedding consultant assigned to your wedding will personally be at your event along with at least one assistant. We will have more assistants should you have multiple locations, a large bridal party or large guest count.
How do you dress for our event? For weddings, all consultants and assistants will wear professional black attire.
Will you eat and drink during the reception and how comfortable will you make yourself? Since weddings can turn into 10, 12, and even 14 hour days, vendor meals during your reception are much appreciated. However, we are there to do a job and will absolutely not drink any alcohol or start dancing during your reception {well, no dancing unless the song is perfect and the mood is just right!}.
