We're talking wedding stationery over the next few weeks for our Tuesday Tips; if you missed Week One, check it out here! For today's tip, I'd like to break down the different elements included in a stationery suite. Sometimes there are more elements - like a social media card, or accommodations card, for example. Sometimes it is only the wedding invitation itself and guests are invited to respond online so there is no need for a response card; it all depends on the needs of a particular wedding, budget for stationery elements and the style of a wedding.
Most times, an invitation suite will at least have the wedding ceremony invitation and a response card for guests to let a couple know that they will either attend or regretfully decline. If necessary, a suite will have additional items like a reception card and directions/details card. It is a good idea to purchase matching thank you cards at the time your invitation suite is ordered so that it is all cohesive. However, your thank you cards, like your save the date cards, do not have to be of the same suite as your invitations but they should be similar in style and at least complement one another.
Check back next week where we will give wording tips on each of these elements to help you create your wedding invitation suite!
